Posie
Graeme-Evans |
 |
Posie was born in Britain, however at age 12 Posie moved to
Australia with her family. For almost all of her adult life
she’s worked in television. First in New Zealand - and then,
later, Australia.
Posie then began working at the ABC, first as a director and
field producer for news and current affairs; then as a
sporting director; a drama |
director and, finally, a producer. In 1998 Posie and Helena
Harris made a pilot for a show they co-created, "Hi-5"! In
2001, "McLeods Daughters" was finally commissioned as a
series and in that same year that became Australia's
inaugural "Australian Independent Producer of the Year". A
year later, Variety magazine included Posie in its annual
list of "Twenty Significant Women in Film and Television"
alongside Meryl Streep.
Posie is also the author of a Triology series; The Innocent,
The Exiled and the Beloved, however comments from fans about
wanting to know "what happens next" are starting to make her
think about another book in this series |
