Kids like 8
year old Susie, one of thousands of children in foster care
across Australia suffering low self-esteem and failing grades,
simply because she has difficulty reading. The Dymocks Literacy
Foundation supports tutoring and mentoring programs, which help
children like Susie with reading and writing skills, giving her
the same opportunities as the the other kids in her class.

Or like 5 year
old Mageed, one of hundreds of refugee kids who fill up a church
hall in Melbourne every Friday night to learn how to read and
write English. The Dymocks Literacy Foundation is helping
Mageed, by providing books to help him learn to read, ensuring
he has a positive start at school.

Or families
like those of newborn Chrissie. Chrissie was born prematurely
and her young parents can't afford books at home, nor do they
understand how important it is to read aloud to her. The Dymocks
Literacy Foundation helps provide early intervention strategies
and books for parents of newborn babies, assisting new families
to give their child a better start in life |
